Microencapsulation

WHAT IS MICROENCAPSULATION ?

It’s a coating technology using vegetable fats with various melting points
This technology allows to incorporate a wide range of active ingredients in different final products following the principle of continued and controlled release.

The active substance, liquid or solid, is encapsulated with a protective coating composed of vegetable fats with a melting point . The melting point depends on the product manufacturing process.

The active substance is released when the melting point is reached or by enzymatic action.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF MICROENCAPSULATION ?

Microencapsulation process offers many technological advantages and new market opportunities :

  • MAXIMUM PROTECTION OF THE ACTIVE MATERIALS
(from oxidation, light, temperature, hygroscopy, interaction with other compounds…)
  • EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE PRODUCT
  • FLAVOR AND ODOUR MASKING
  • DOSAGE FORMS POSSIBILITIES
    (from oily to powder form)
  • CONTINUED AND CONTROLLED RELEASE
